Young's art is all about his mind and what is in it.
The paintings are him, splattered all over the canvas.
By painting with such passion, Young hopes to solidify
his work into sculpture; visual depictions of him
the moment he created the painting. In this same way,
the work stands as a reßection back to him. It displays
the truth about who he really was, is or will become.
His work is a representation of both his physical
environment and his feelings about his environment.
His paintings are often the fusion between his studio
environment and the world beyond. While painting he
accesses parts of his studio-inßuenced psyche with
feelings and sensations brought back from the outside
world. Young is often struck by the intense blue of
the sky or the intense green of a tree. When he feels
the sensation that these intensities give him, he
has to paint; has to record the moment on canvas.
As a result, Young's work is the struggle to find
and attain beauty. Young was born in London, England.
He was an Honorary Scholar at Westminster School and
a Junior Exhibitioner at the Royal Academy of Music
for violin and piano. His paintings have been exhibited
in Germany, Italy, England and the United States.
