My husband, Joshua Hogan, is an abstract painter. He is also the director of Hogan Studios, the professional framing business attached to Box Heart. Josh is in the Box Heart basement every weekend, framing away.

During the week, Josh works as a carpenter, transforming old buildings and homes into newly renovated structures. He also works as a painter and muralist, transforming walls into original works of art. Most recently, he began working as a scenic/set painter for various movies currently in production in Pittsburgh.

Josh and I have five furry children: Frieda, Diego, Che, Max, & Mitzy. Enjoy their pictures below!

The Canine Children...

Frieda Marie Capozzi
Diego Madden Hogan

Frieda is the love of my life. Like her father, she is diabetic. None the less, she LOVES to eat dog treats loaded with carbs.

Diego is a sweetheart. Extremely loyal, he is my second shadow. I can't move to another room without him.

Che, our adopted son, is the boss. Large and in-charge, Che is feisty and charismatic. He is also a big fan of scrambled eggs.

The Feline Children...

MITZY
MAX

Max is our oldest child, which means he gets the least of our attention. He is just beautiful and kind. His mild mannered temperament brings tranquility to our home. According to his veterinarian he's obese, but Max prefers "fat and happy." His sister, Mitzy, is the exact opposite. She is skinny, playful and mischievous. Always into something, she loves to eat the leaves off our organic veggies while I'm cooking and mauls every plant I attempt to bring into the house.
