Marze
Fran's
work has always revolved around the beauty of people
and their surroundings. She tries to use images in
an expressive way, applying color that will enhance
these images and project a feeling in those pople
who view her work and receive enjoyment and meaning.
Since the core of her life is family and friends,
she chooses her ideas to include them.
Fran has a degree in Art, English and Education from
Seton Hill University. She has 35+ years teaching
in public schools, including k-12 art, 10-12 English,
journalism and newspaper editing. Married for 41 years,
now widowed, she has five grown sons and fourteen
grandchildren.
Fran's artistic memberships include: PSEA-R, Whitehall
Art League, Plein-aire painters of Western Pennsylvania
and Pittsburgh Pastel Society. She has also recieved
various local awards for her work.
