Kristin
Bruner
Kristin
L. Bruner was raised in Florida and then departed
at an early age to begin her education in New England.
She studied in Connecticut, at Choate Rosemary Hall.
She then continued on to John Hopkins University in
Baltimore where she majored in Humanistic Area Studies,
including a minor in Psychology with an emphasis in
art and play therapy. She then moved to Washington,
D.C. to complete her J.D. at the Washington College
of Law at American University with a concentration
in Intellectual Property. She is currently continuing
her studies by working working on her M.S. in Public
Policy at American University.
Her
work is now as a Freelance Writer and Professor of
Communications and Legal Studies. The rest of her
time is spent developing her art. She focuses on an
exploration of language, bringing words to life on
canvas through geometric abstract painting, in essence
defining words through art. Her work explores this
relationship through balance of vibrant color and
symmetry to evoke emotion through repetition of lines
and patterns. Her art brings to mind the style of
geometric abstractions of earlier decades.
