Curinga
Curinga
is a digital artist and photographer. Her work reflects
that combination, in that it is very diversified stylewise.
The constant in all her work is the use of her own
photography. Working digitally allows her to create
the different feelings and moods that her photographs
capture in her mind.
Curinga has always taken pictures. Her work is her
diary. She feels that she has been a voyeur in her
own life at times. She is there but the camera allows
me to maintain a distance or separate herself from
what is going on around her. The way she works is
a reflection of how she feels at that time.
Curinga's work is a journey. It tells a story, has
a history. It has to come from a personal place for
her to create a piece. It will always be changing.
It has to for her to keep creating. It may change
from week to week. After a series is finished in her
head, she is ready to move on. Curinga will stay on
a series until she is tired of it, only to switch
to another as her mood changes. But all series and
styles are ultimately ongoing. |
