Lori
Daniels is an artist who turns antique ceiling tile
into modern art. Seven years ago, Lori started creating
art for the home out of antique ceiling tin that she
collected during a 25 year career as an antique dealer.
The tin she rescued and collected, from to be demolished
Midwest commercial buildings, is "the best of
the best." Time periods of the tin are from 1840
- 1900.
Each piece of art is customized with a patented glaze
developed by Lori. Her formula is a chemical reaction
of oil paints that makes the tin look like kiln fired
ceramic pieces. They are not fired, but instead dry
with many different surface textures based on weather
and the formula Lori hand mixed that day.
The tin designs display botantical or classical designs
in the Arts and Crafts, Victorian, or Art Nouveau
styles and range in size from 6 inches to 6 feet.
There are no duplicates, each piece is entirely "one-of-akind."
No matter what type of interior decor you may havem
these collages are a beautiful addition to your home.
