Lucas
B. Miller
Lucas B Miller, a native of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, currently resides in San Francisco,
California. He is a graduate from the University of
Vermont.
Lucas has developed a style in Acrylic Painting that
often incorporates gold leaf as well as sewing semi-precious
stones into his work. "You should use what you know
and what you have at your disposal. I bet Picasso
didn't have a blue stage based upon how he felt, but
probably because it was the only color of paint he
had left in his supplies!"
Lucas has had exhibitions all over the county and
has pieces in collections all over the world. He has
apprenticed with Coover-Landacre Studios (Kurt Landacre
and Mary Coover, master porcelain artisans), and currently
works for the Academy of Art University (the largest
private, visual Art & Design school in the country)
since 2005.
