Tatiana Mamaeva

Mamaeva admires the beauty and grace of human nature, and beauty in expression of the human body. Mamaeva is guided by a symbol, an idea. Often, this results in elongated stylized figures or semi-abstract representations. Mamaeva is convinced that in order to have "full life" sculptures have to be seen. The sculptures often travel to places on their own, such as Marseille and Paris.

"I am preoccupied with human loneliness, in suffering, doubts, and in the endless search of self. I am preoccupied with a delusive nature of power and material possessions, and am driven by an urgent necessity to create a symbol. At times, a humorous twist is inevitable."
