REVIEW FOR SOLO EXHIBITION & GENERAL CONSIGNMENT

Box Heart reviews applications for Solo Exhibition/General Consignment yearly. Artists interested in submitting materials to our Review Process should follow the listed procedures to ensure that their work will be reviewed properly.

Review is completed every October. Artists interested in exhibiting with our gallery must submit the following materials by snail mail, by October 1st, to be considered for exhibitions currently available in 2013 - 2014:
- Exhibition Application
- Artist Biography
- Artist Statement
- Artist Resume
- 10 - 12 digital images of work on disc, JPEG or TIFF, 1.8 MB: 1920X1920 pixels
- Self addressed stamped envelope for the return of all materials and notification
- Additional supporting materials (optional)

Do not email submissions for review. All submissions must be received via snail mail with artwork images on disc in the format indicated above.

As we select artists for Solo Exhibition/Gallery Representation two years in advance of the actual exhibition, we do not expect that the artwork submitted for review is the same artwork that we be featured in the exhibition. We do however, expect that the artist will stay within their artistic media and style, consistent with the artwork we exhibit and present to our clients and customers for the period prior to and after their exhibition.

Box Heart selects eight (8) artists for Solo Exhibition/Gallery Representation each year. Gallery Representation provides the artists selected for a Solo Exhibition with the following services:
- Solo Exhibition
- Exhibit: June Anniversary Exhibition, December Celebrate the Season Exhibition
- Public Artist Reception
- Featured in Artist Catalog, Au Courant
- Additional Advertisement/publicity
- Artwork hosted on gallery website and additional arts related sites
- Promotion through Mox Box Consulting

Artists interested in our gallery, but not interested in a solo exhibition can apply to our Review Panel for General Consignment/Gallery Representation in the same manner stated above for Solo Exhibition/Gallery Representation. Please use the same application provided above and indicate "consider general consignment." A varied number of artists are selected for General Consignment/Gallery Representation each year. Although these artists are not scheduled for a solo exhibition, they are represented by our gallery and receive the following services:
- Exhibit: June Anniversary Exhibition, December Celebrate the Season Exhibition
- Featured in Artist Catalog, Au Courant
- Advertisement/publicity
- Artwork hosted on gallery website and additional arts related sites
- Promotion through Mox Box Consulting

All artists are formally notified by December 1st of the artists selected for both Solo Exhibition/Gallery Representation and General Consignment/Gallery Representation.

Box Heart is happy to answer questions artists may have concerning the Review Process. Artists are also welcome to view our Review Jury Form in order to verify the method by which their artwork will be scored by our gallery.
