LITTLE ITALY DAYS: An Award Winning Festival

For three days in Bloomfield, it’s All-Italian-all-the-time. Expect lots of music, food, games, more food and other fun activities amidst Bloomfield’s unique shops and fine restaurants.The 2008 festival features free activities and entertainment for young and old. This year 12 musical groups perform on the Main Stage at Liberty and Cedarville, along with strolling musicians throughout the weekend. Other activities include a bocce tournament and an Italian Mass, followed by the “Procession of the Madonna del la Civita”.Awarded First Place in Statewide Townie Awards!

The festival attracts over 20,000 people from all over the region. In 2004 “Little Italy Days” won the Mainstreets Pittsburgh “Special Events” Award and in 2008 received first place in the statewide “Townie Awards.”Produced by the Bloomfield Business Association, this event helps to nurture Bloomfield’s “Little Italy” identity and to encourage people to live, work, shop and play here.

Bloomfield’s Annual “Family Night” Halloween Parade


Join us for the Bloomfield Citizens Council (BCC) 40th Annual Family Night Halloween Parade! Hundreds of costumed children and adults will treat the spectators, lined along the parade route from Aspen Street to the Bloomfield Bridge, to a night of creativity and fun for Bloomfield residents and thousands of visitors.

BLOOMFIELD HAS THE LARGEST NIGHTTIME PARADE IN THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH.

The parade begins at 7:30 PM – rain or shine! Bring your lawn chairs and friendly smiles for the two thousand (2,000) marchers!
